Market and thrift finds | October 12, 2008

Went to PSU’s Saturday farmers’ market to get soup ingredients and more end-of-season tomatoes. Came home with tomatoes, potatoes, shallots and zucchini squash (to add to green beans, onion, white beans and maybe pasta) for the soup, and more tomatoes (yes, it’s a sickness, but I can’t help it) for probably more pasta (also a sickness, but super easy) or a casserole-type thing I read about in one of the new cookbooks I bought.

(Will update post after some sleep and hopefully make pancakes and/or eggplant parmesan early Sunday and have links to cookbooks. I need to do an entry on the ridiculous number of cookbooks I own but never make recipes from!)
